X-rays
X-rays may be used to evaluate for underlying pathology, confirm that chiropractic adjustments can be performed safely, and better understand your individual spinal structure and alignment. For established patients, updated X-rays are typically taken approximately every three years to monitor spinal health, as well as anytime there is a new injury or accident, helping ensure your care remains safe, precise, and effective.
The X-rays shown are from the same patient taken 17 years apart. This patient has been seen regularly over the course of those years. As we age, the typical progression of the cervical curve it to straighten out over time which causes compression on the nerves and can cause an abundance of issues. Not only does this patient have no new diagnostic conditions such as arthritis or deterioration which is a testament to his chiropractic care, but he also has had no change in his cervical curve in almost 20 years.
